Archeologiattiva has got all the required permissions to make the archaeological digging expedition start. It is structured as a two-year-long archeological mission, set in San Francesco Square, in the center of Cetara, the starting point of the famous Amalfi Coast.
Our team is involved in recovery, study as well as public fruition phase of the necropolis which is underneath the square.
MISSION TO ENABLE
This project possible will be put in practice by Archeologiattiva’s collaborators and researchers, mostly composed by Mediterranean Archaeology Task Force’s archaeology.
The archaeological research project, which is going to last two years, is composed by several phases going from inspections to documentation, cataloguing, laboratory analysis, restauration of archaeological finds, to scientific publication about the mission to the creation of a museum to expose archaeological finds in.
